In the past weeks (actually months), I redesigned and built everything for this project new from scratch. The design is minimalistic, but that’s on purpose. Nothing should detract you from reading the content. I tried my best to make this as mobile friendly as possible, so you will have no problems reading this on your smartphone when you are on the road. At the moment, I use the simple layout for the bigger monitor sizes as well, simply because I don’t have the time at the moment to do the different responsive layouts. But it is the content that’s important, as they say.
There is a print to PDF button at the end of each article, which will help you to get the articles down to your hard disk or print (and collect) them. [at the moment, this plugin isn’t working properly, so I removed it. I will find a better solution soon.]
With this blog I start my main project: an agenda of my magical thinking and ideas. I have been planning this (and experimenting with the technical stuff) for quite a few years and only now I feel ready to do it. The plan is to publish a post every day or, at least, every other day. The schedule is not connected to a calendar; I simply publish one post after the other.
The basic idea was Roberto Giobbi’s Secret Agenda book, which gives you one valuable idea for each day of the year. A lovely idea, and one that is possible to digest in our hectic, digital information overloaded times. The same here: you get one idea per day. I cover a wide field, ranging from food for thought to my own thoughts, hacks, full routines, videos and theory. The material is as colourful as I collected it in my notebooks. I see this blog as my digital notebook, which is open to the fraternity.
At the moment, I have prepared about two hundred articles, which I wrote in the past three years or so. This is material from over 30 years of experimenting, learning, creating and performing in magic. I know, a lot of stuff, but way too many ideas to put into practise in my age (I am 55 now). One nasty aspect of getting older is: you realise you have more ideas and concepts than you ever had, but you don’t have the time anymore to realise them all.
So I thought: “Well — what am I going to do?” The obvious thing to do is to give this material back to the magic, back to the community. A blog is the perfect digital medium for this, and in combination with the possibility to print the articles, should be a perfect mesh of digital and analog material.
In a short time, you will be able to purchase downloads of various kind: videos, PDF and printing templates for tricks.Meanwhile, I am working on building my YouTube channel, where I will post some videos of me performing a lot of the stuff described here.
Please feel free to register for my newsletter. I plan to send it out on a weekly basis and will inform you on the new blog posts that appeared. But, it’s still in the making, so please be patient.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
