End of Scripting Problems

In the past weeks I strug­gled to upgrade my com­put­ers with a very impor­tant soft­ware. I decid­ed from now on to give it a try and get used to the Drag­on dic­ta­tion sys­tem soft­ware. At first I thought this is going to be easy, but it was not. After some exper­i­men­ta­tion and train­ing with the soft­ware, I am now absolute­ly per­plexed and astound­ed how well this works. I remem­ber the nasty times 10 years ago, when I want­ed to try this out, but at that time the soft­ware was­n’t ready. Now it is!

Besides all the advan­tages of being able to work more effi­cient and much quick­er with the com­put­er, I dis­cov­ered some­thing very sur­pris­ing (at least for me). For years my prob­lem in script­ing a trick or rou­tine and writ­ing the pat­ter for it was, that when I wrote it in the tra­di­tion­al way out of my head, the pat­tern looked good on paper, but is sound­ed stiff in per­for­mance. So the only solu­tion was to dic­tate the pat­tern into an audio equip­ment and then have it tran­scriptd.

Now when using speech recog­ni­tion soft­ware, every­thing is com­plete­ly dif­fer­ent and so much eas­i­er. I don’t needs any sec­re­tary to type my audio­phile us, I can do it with my own lap­top and any­time and any­where I want to do it. Of course, I first have to make my deci­sion of what I want to say. But then, when I’m in the flow, the words just come out in a nat­ur­al speak­ing man­ner and this is exact­ly the way they are print­ed.

No longer any stiff expres­sions and con­struc­tions of sen­tences. Thanks to that great tech­nol­o­gy, writ­ing good scripts is now in the reach of almost every­one.
