Memorable Magic

Recently, I finished reading that book on how and why ideas stick with people (or not). It was an interesting read, and—more important—made it clear what we should have in mind when creating a powerful presentation in magic that people remember.

It is a well-written book and an easy read. You’ll take away a formula, easy to adapt and use. Applied to the presentation, this should better your magic. In a nutshell, they framed the SUCCES formula. An idea that “sticks” must have these ingredients:

Simple

Unexpected

Concrete

Credible

Emotional

Stories

Basically, a good story, or, in our case, presentation theme, should comprise each of these components. If you think about it, that makes sense. When applying these principles, and the impact of the effects will increase, and your presentations will be remembered longer.
