In the past year, I read tons of material, and there are two items that stand out to me, because of the potential there is to them. The one thing I urge you to get is Greg Webb’s “Feen X Magazine” (in fact, get all of Greg’s output).
Here he describes, besides some really useful things like the casino-style Zarrow shuffle, his version of the RAVEN, called “Poor Man’s Raven”. This is far more practical than the original Raven, no set-up, no pulls, and no hassle. Still, you get the same effect. In my view, a stroke of genius, and a true hack.
Get these at Lybrary.com. It’s a bargain for the material offered. I got so many ideas and practical things out of it.
The second thing is David Roth’s “Open Servante” concept. You will find it on the “New York Coin Symposium” DVDs, along with a thorough explanation by David. This one alone is worth multiple times the price of the DVD, and it can and will change your coin magic, especially if you working standing behind a table.
Get this wonderful concept here: Open Servante.
David performed this to great success on one of the Penn & Teller Fool Us shows, and there you can see the principle in action. Long an underground secret shared with only a few, now he graciously gave this to us all.
Make something out of these two!
