I can’t remember how long I do this routine. And how I simply love it. Every time, when I wanted to ‘improve’ upon, and learn one of the fancier, more modern stuff, I fell back to this classic Goshman rendition. At that time, I was heavily influenced by the Chinese culture, as you can easily hear, but this gives the routine an additional ‘kick’, most of the people don’t like. I love the routine!
May Albert Goshman live forever! Still my favorite take and approach to the ‘Matrix’, Chink-A-Chink or whatever you might want to call it. 🙂
The master Johnny Thompson decades ago at a lecture in London pointed out the importance of the middle finger of the hand palming. A small thing maybe, but nonetheless an important thing, which can make all the difference in appearance …
I tried my best to incorporate that subtlety and it DOES MAKE that difference! Watch out for my middle fingers of the palming hand and the beautiful hand shape this makes.
Thank you, Johnny Thompson for that lesson you presented to me! Your wisdom rules …
P.S.: The exact routine shown in the video is described in issue no. 5 of my ‘Scrapbook Magazine’.
