MASTERCLASS Coin Basics

Coin magic is one of the most underestimated branches we have. Of course, in recent years there has been an explosion of artists, especially from Asia, who have demonstrated breathtaking, acrobatic moves and routines that require many years of practice. Nevertheless, coin magic is so appealing precisely because every ordinary spectator knows a coin, understands its value, and above all because coin magic always looks so spontaneous.

Over the past 40-plus years, after working through the most difficult coin moves and techniques available to me at the time, I’ve come to realize that it’s actually quite different things that matter. You don’t always need the most difficult moves to perform a great coin trick.

In this Masterclass, I want to expand on this principle and explain and demonstrate the truly important techniques. By the end of the Masterclass, you’ll have five coin tricks that you can perform impromptu with borrowed coins, no shells, no gimmicks, nothing else.

And that’s the value of this Masterclass: to give you the tools to perform magic anytime. After all, you always have some loose change and coins in your pocket, so you’ve got your props right there.
